CureFIP™ GS-441524 + B12 Injectable 30mg/ml

Standard FIP Treatment With Integrated Cobalamin Support for Adult Cats

What This Product Is

CureFIP™ GS-441524 + B12 30mg/ml is the B12-enhanced version of our most widely used injectable formulation. It delivers GS-441524 at the standard treatment concentration for adult cats (2.5–5 kg) with the addition of cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) at 50mcg/ml — addressing the secondary systemic complications that frequently accompany FIP in the standard adult cat weight range.

The antiviral component is identical to the standard 30mg/ml formulation in every respect. B12 addition does not alter GS-441524 concentration, dosing calculation, or mechanism of action. It integrates nutritional support into the existing daily injection, removing the need for a separate B12 administration during the treatment period.

The Clinical Case for B12 in Standard-Weight FIP Cats

The 30mg/ml formulation serves adult cats in the 2.5–5 kg range — the most common FIP presentation weight. Within this cohort, a significant proportion arrive at treatment with secondary systemic compromise that extends beyond the primary viral pathology. These are not edge cases. Anaemia, appetite suppression, and immune compromise are common FIP presentations across all weight ranges — not exclusive to small or severely ill cats.

GS-441524 addresses the root cause — viral replication. It does not immediately reverse the systemic damage the virus has already produced. Cobalamin at 50mcg/ml works in parallel with the antiviral mechanism across four physiological pathways:

Red blood cell production: Cobalamin is an essential cofactor in erythropoiesis. FIP-associated anaemia responds to B12 supplementation alongside the removal of the underlying viral inflammatory driver. Supporting haematopoiesis from the first day of treatment accelerates the cat’s return to normal haematological parameters.

Neurological recovery: B12-dependent myelin sheath maintenance is relevant not only in neurological FIP presentations but in any cat whose systemic illness has produced peripheral neurological effects — including the generalised weakness and proprioceptive deficits seen in severe wet FIP cases.

Appetite restoration: Cobalamin’s role in appetite pathway activation is well documented in cats. Many owners report observable appetite improvement within the first 2–3 days of B12 administration — earlier than the typical GS-441524 antiviral response window of 5–7 days. This early appetite signal provides owners with a tangible early indicator that treatment is being tolerated.

Immune support: Cobalamin is a cofactor in lymphocyte proliferation and immune regulatory processes. FIP produces significant immune dysregulation. B12 supplementation supports immune system recovery alongside viral clearance.

Indicated Cases

This formulation is most appropriate for:

  • Adult cats 2.5–5 kg with FIP presenting alongside anaemia (confirmed by haematology or suspected clinically)
  • Wet FIP cases with concurrent lethargy and appetite suppression disproportionate to effusion severity
  • Dry FIP cases with systemic involvement and immune compromise
  • Cases where owner or veterinarian wishes to consolidate daily antiviral injection with B12 supplementation
  • Cats on concurrent medications that may affect appetite or GI absorption

This Formulation Is Not the First Choice For

  • Cats requiring therapeutic-dose B12 at intervals other than once daily — maintain a separate B12 protocol as directed by your veterinarian
  • Cats outside the 2.5–5 kg weight range — select the appropriate concentration for your cat’s weight
  • Cats with no secondary systemic complications — the standard 30mg/ml formulation is sufficient

Concentration Selection Guide

Concentration Primary Indication
20mg/ml + B12 Cats under 2.5 kg with systemic complications
30mg/ml + B12 (this product) Cats 2.5–5 kg with anaemia, neurological symptoms, or appetite loss
40mg/ml + B12 Cats over 5 kg with high-dose protocol and systemic complications
30mg/ml Cats 2.5–5 kg · Standard antiviral · No secondary complications

Administration

Administer subcutaneously once daily. Dose is calculated in mg of GS-441524 per kg of body weight. B12 addition does not alter the dose calculation. Standard treatment duration is 84 consecutive days. Use the dosing calculator to determine the correct volume for your cat’s current weight.
